Watercolor Nativity Pillow Cover shows the first Christmas as it might actually have looked — a rough wooden shelter lit by lanterns, Mary and Joseph bent toward the manger, the donkey and ox close by, a lamb resting in the snow, and a gold star breaking over the roofline, with snow-laden pines closing in on either side and the whole scene glowing in warm amber against cream. This is the Christmas story told quietly: no bright primaries, no cartoon figures, no gilt — just soft watercolor in cream, warm gold, and muted green, drawn with enough restraint to sit in a beautifully styled room rather than announce itself. Faux suede is what makes this one different: a fine, matte nap that catches light the way real suede does, giving the artwork a depth flat cotton can't hold. Softer to the touch than a woven cover and warmer to look at, it suits the lantern light in this scene particularly well — the glow reads as glow rather than as printed yellow. A NOTE ON SIZING
For a full, well-shaped pillow, choose an insert 2" larger than the cover — a 20" insert in an 18" cover gives that firm, designer finish. Covers are pre-constructed, so please allow a size variance of up to ½".
